Church House bed & breakfast

Burwash, a major centre of the Wealden iron industry between the 15th and 17th century, retains a wealth of interesting architecture.

It has a village shop, post office, butchers, tea shop and two pubs. Well located for visiting many National Trust properties, with

Batemans, Rudyard Kipling’s beautiful home

in Burwash itself.

Opportunities to enjoy the stunning

countryside on foot are plentiful with well marked footpaths.

The Sussex coast is within an hours drive

and the spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells within half an hour.

Etchingham station, two miles away, has a

regular service to Charing Cross so a day in London is always an option.
